Is it possible to use ScribeDOOR with ID CS6 Turkish version to write Arabic language letters?

Yes, with ScribeDOOR you can mix different texts in different languages together in the same line/paragraph. ScribeDOOR supports all the specific features of Arabic text:

  • Paragraph direction right to left
  • Contextual text
  • Forcing the direction of characters
  • Etc.

ScribeDOOR also supports different digits.

Will the software do the job at the character and word level, NOT just at a paragraph level?

Yes, intra-paragraph direction is managed automatically. It can also be done manually by forcing the direction of characters.
ScribeDOOR adds the ability to edit and treat text in a wide range of languages: Arabic, Azeri, Bengali, Farsi, Georgian, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Kannada, Kazakh, Khmer/Cambodian, Lao, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Thai, Urdu, Vietnamese and Roman languages (English, French, …).

Error message while installing: "Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete correctly. ScribeDoor Illustrator add-on cannot be installed. No installation of Adobe Illustrator 2020 has been detected. Please verify your version and try again".

This needs a manual installation. Please contact our Technical support.

With Adobe Illustrator CC 2015, ScribeDOOR can not be installed.

We release an updated version of ScribeDOOR every year. Each version is compatible with the corresponding version of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
Thus, before downloading any version of ScribeDOOR, make sure you have the correct version of Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator (in this case, Adobe Illustrator CC 2015 or Adobe Illustrator CC 2015.3). You can then download the corresponding version of ScribeDOOR accordingly.

I'm having trouble getting the Scribedoor to work. When I put the license key in, the green check mark appears that it's accepted, but nothing happens after that. The Scribedoor attributes panel doesn't appear to allow us to edit the text.

This needs a verification of the right privileges of specific folder. Please contact our Technical support.

The extension you are about to install conflicts with following extension. Do you want to remove the following extension and continue installation? The extension 'ScribeDOOR' installed in the product 'Illustrator CS6 32, Illustrator CS6 64'.

This means you need to “Remove” the OLD existing ScribeDOOR plugin first, and then install it again, with the new version.
To uninstall your existing ScribeDOOR plugin, please follow the steps below:

  1. On Adobe Extension Manager, select the “ScribeDOOR” plugin.
  2. Click on the “Remove” button and follow the instructions.
  3. After Uninstallation ends, on Adobe Extension Manager, click on the “Install” button on the main dialog.
  4. Select the new downloaded ScribeDOOR CS6 file.
I cannot write the license key, the license key field is not active.

Please note that ScribeDOOR trial versions cannot be activated. To activate your license key, please follow the steps below:

  1. Uninstall your software by running “ScribeDOOR InDesign 2020 Uninstaller” located in “/Library/Application Support/Winsoft Installers/ScribeDOOR InDesign/”.
  2. After Uninstallation is completed, verify that the folder “WinSoft” is not present in “/Applications/Adobe InDesign 2020/Plug-Ins/”.
  3. If the folder “WinSoft” is still present in “/Applications/Adobe InDesign 2020/Plug-Ins/”, simply delete that folder “WinSoft” manually.
  4. Install the full version of your software. If needed, contact our sales team for the link to download the full version.
How can I uninstall ScribeDOOR?

To uninstall ScribeDOOR

  • On Windows:
    Go to: Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > ScribeDOOR > Uninstall
  • On Macintosh:
    Please uninstall your plug in: Application>Utilities > WinSoft installers
I can’t activate the ScribeDOOR after expired trial version

Note that the trial version can’t be activated. You will need to install the Full version using your serial number to activate ScribeDOOR (contact our sales team for more info).
